The makers of horror films Blumhouse and Atomic Monster are teaming up

Two of the most famous studios specialising in horror film production – Jason Blum’s Blumhouse and James Wan’s Atomic Monster – have completed their merger. This was announced by Jason Blum on his social media page on 2 January 2024: “Our deal is complete. From this day forward, Blumhouse and Atomic Monster are officially one. Two top-notch horror film companies will now work together under one roof.”

The merger announcement was made on the eve of the release of supernatural horror The Cursed Waters, the feature directorial debut of Bryce McGuire. The picture, which will be presented by distributor Universal Pictures on 5 January 2024, was produced by both companies. The film stars Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon in the lead roles.
