The wave of growing popularity of 3D-printed homes has reached Germany. 3D printer manufacturer COBOB has announced a project to print Germany’s first house as part of an affordable social housing programme. It will be built by Peri 3D Construction in Lünen.
It will be a small three-storey six-apartment building (two flats per floor). The area of the flats is from 61 to 81 square metres, and the total area of the building is 651 square metres. The local administration will bear the construction costs.
